A brief history of DANAC Corporation
From the early 1970s to early 1980s, DANAC was a subsidiary of a large publicly held financial services organization that was acquired by the Continental Group (Continental Can Company) in 1977. In 1979, DANAC, as part of the Continental Group, was acquired by KMI, a private investment group. In July of 1986, DANAC became wholly owned by John F. Jaeger as its sole stockholder. The firm has been particularly active in Montgomery County for the past 45 years and is continuing to expand in Prince George's County and Northern Virginia.
DANAC's stellar performance record and reputation helped forge redevelopment projects in partnership with local governments. The results speak for themselves. DANAC has developed over 1.5 million square feet of office, residential and retail space in the last five years and over 4 million square feet since the firm's inception, making it one of the most highly regarded real estate service firms in the metropolitan Washington area today.
As a full-service real estate company, DANAC has the in-house resources to meet the goals and objectives of its clients, regardless of the scope of work. Staff includes a well-equipped mobile engineering maintenance staff that is available to clients on an as-needed basis at rates that are lower than those found in the open market.
